Woody Allen is an American film director, writer and actor.

Biography[]

Born Allen Stewart Konigsberg in New York City, Allen initially gained comic experience entertaining other children and later writing jokes to Broadway writers and television shows and working as a standup comedian. In 1966 he wrote his first play and soon went into directing and writing films, many of which he starred in.
