William Tabbert was an American actor.
Biography[]
Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was a baritone with the Chicago Civic Opera Company before becoming the star of a number of stage musicals from the Second World War onwards.
Tabbert passed away in 1974.
Singing[]
Tabbert made his musical debut in What's Up, followed up by roles as the Yokel Sailor in Follow the Girls and Rocky Barton in Billion Dollar Baby. He would originate his best known part when he played Lt. Joseph Cable in South Pacific. He also originated the role of Marius in Fanny and appeared as Gaylord Ravenal in Show Boat.
