William Hickey is an American actor.
Biography[]
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Hickey began his career as a child actor in variety shows, made his radio debut aged eleven and his Broadway debut in Saint Joan in 1951. He soon experienced a great deal of success on stage, film and television, including Little Big Man and The Equaliser. He received an Academy Award nomination for his role as Don Corrado Prizzi in Prizzi's Honor.
In addition to acting, Hickey taught at HB Studio in Greenwich Village, having several famous clients. In later years he gained additional acclaim for a guest role in Tales of the Crypt and as the voice of Dr. Finklestein in The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Hickey ssed away in 1997.

Hickey had two singing roles early in his career, as Albert in the stage musical The Body Beautiful and as a Drunk in The Producers, singing "By the Light of the Silvery Moon" with the titular producers.
