Tom Hardy is an English actor.

Biography[]

Born Edward Hardy in Hammersmith, London, he was a male model as a young man before attending Drama Centre London and gaining a role in the series Band of Brothers. He made his film debut in Black Hawk Down and gained attention for his role in Star Trek: Nemesis before winning the 2003 London Standard Award for best Newcomer in theatre.

As well as appearing in a number of television roles, Hardy came to the forefront due to his role as Heathcliff in the miniseries Wuthering Heights as well as playing the convicted killer Charles Bronson in Bronson. Other film roles included Legend (in which he played the two Kray brothers, Reggie and Ronnie), Dunkirk, and an Academy Award winning turn in The Revenant.

Singing[]

As well as recording a rap album named Falling On Your Arse, Hardy briefly sang as the titular character in Bronson, having a more substantial duet as taxi driver Mark in the recitative musical London Road.
