Stephen Thorne is an English actor.
Biography[]
Born in Derby, Derbyshire, Thorne studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and performed with the Old Vic Company before appearing in such television shows as Z Cars, Doctor Who (notably playing the rogue Time Lord Omega) and providing the voice of Aslan in the animated adaptation of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Thorne was also a notable performer of audio books, ranging from The Aeineid to Jude the Obscure, winning a Talkies Award in 1996 for Enigma.

Thorne made his sole singing appearance in the radio production of The Lord of the Rings where, as Treebeard, he sang "Learn Now the Lore of Living Creatures" and "When Spring Unfolds."
