Simon Pegg is an English actor, comedian and writer.
Biography[]
Born Simon Beckingworth in Brockingworth, Gloucestershire, he appeared in series such as Asylum and Big Train before gaining recognition as as the co-writer and co-lead of Spaced alongside Jessica Stevenson. He became widely recognised for his roles in what became known as The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy, beginning with Shaun of the Dead in 2003.
Whilst continuing to appear in British television and films (including Doctor Who and the comedies Run, Fatboy Run and Burke and Hare), Pegg took roles in larger international productions such as playing Scotty in the rebooted Star Trek films and Benji Dunn in the Mission Impossible series.
Singing[]
Pegg only sang briefly, drunkenly slurring "White Lines" with Nick Frost (and a zombie) in Shaun of the Dead and his own version of "Figaro's Aria" as Buck in Ice Age: Collision Course.
