Shaun Williamson is an English actor.

Biography[]

Born in Maidstone, Kent, he studied at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and gained recognition for his long-running role as Barry Evans in EastEnders. Even after the character's departure, Williamson portrayed a fictionalised version of himself in Extras and Life's Too Short named "Barry from EastEnders."

Williamson also appeared in such series as Scoop, Waiting for God and Inspector Morse and later stage productions of Porridge and The LadyKillers.

Singing[]

Singing frequently in both comedies and straight musicals, Williamson sang "You Were Always On My Mind" in EastEnders and several numbers including "Dead Ringer for Love" on Big Brother's Bit on the Side.

Onstage, he appeared as Monty the DJ in Saturday Night Fever, Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls and Baron Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
