Rosamund Pike is an English actress.

Biography[]

Born in Hammersmith, London to opera singer parents, Pike won a scholarship to Badminton School where she started acting, and appeared in various plays whilst at Oxford, before gaining her breakthrough role as Miranda Frost in Die Another Day.

After appearing in period dramas such as The Liberthine and Pride and Prejudice, Pike continued with a mixture of stage and screen roles, notably Hitchcock Blonde and Hedda Gabler, and gained her first Academy Award nomination for her role in Gone Girl.

Singing[]

Pike has only one singing credit to her name; in Jackboots on Whitehall she leads the defenders of England in an inspiring rendition of "Jerusalem".
