Roger Rees

Roger Rees was a Welsh actor and director.

Biography[]

Born in Aberystwyth, Cardiganshire, he was an artist before working with the Royal Shakespeare Company in plays including Macbeth and The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, which earned him both an Olivier and a Tony Award.

Onscreen, Rees appeared in films including Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Frida and The Prestige. He also appeared in the television series Cheers, The West Wing and Warehouse 13.

Rees passed away in 2015.

Singing[]

Rees appeared in a number of musicals, originating the role of Alfie Byrne in A Man of No Importance and Boris Lermontov in The Red Shoes. He was the second actor to play Gomez Addams in The Addams Family and took roles in both The Visit and The Band Wagon.
