The Golden Throats Wiki

Robert Downey Jr. is an American actor.

Biography[]

Born in Manhattan, New York, Downey made his acting debut in several of his father's films, beginning with Pound in 1970. After his first leading role in The Pick-Up Artist, he would appear in a number of critically acclaimed films including Richard III, Heart and Souls and Chaplin, for which he received an Academy Award nomination.

After a large decline in his career due to personal problems, Downey began to acheive success once more with both comic (in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Tropic Thunder) and dramatic turns (such as Zodiac.) He acheived global recognition however, for his portrayal of Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Singing[]

Downey both wrote and performed a number of songs, beginning with the title piece in his father's film Too Much Sun. He also performed in Two Girls and a Guy, Friends & Lovers and several numbers on the series Ally McBeal.

In addition to his onscreen musical appearances, Downey also released several albums, most notably his largely self penned third album The Futurist.
