René Auberjonois was an American actor.
Biography[]
Born in New York City, Auberjonois worked with a number of theatre companies including the Arena Stage, before making his Broadway debut in King Lear playing the Fool. He soon gained a Tony Award for Coco and further nominations for his performances in The Good Doctor, Big River and City of Angels.
Auberjonois also had an extensive screen career, notably playing Odo in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and appearing in such films as King Kong and Batman Forever. He provided voices for several productions, including Louis the Chef in The Little Mermaid series and Pepé le Pew in The Looney Tunes Show.
Auberjonois passed away in 2019.

Auberjonois sang extensively on stage, film and television, beginning with the leading role of Macheath in The Threepenny Opera. He went on to originate a number of roles on Broadway, such as The Duke in Big River and Irwin/Buddy in City of Angels as well as established roles including Moonface Martin in Anything Goes.
Auberjonois also sang in several of his voice roles roles, most notably performing "Les Poissons" in The Little Mermaid and several numbers in the series Pound Puppies.
