Raymond Walburn was an American actor.

Biography[]

Born in Plymouth, Indiana, Walburn took up stage acting and made his stage debut in Cordelia Blossom in 1914. He appeared onscreen as Baron Danglars in The Count of Monte Cristo and went on to take up roles in Mr. Deeds Comes to Town, Arsenic and Old Lace and The Spoilers (his final film role).

Walburn also appeared in such plays as Man Bites Dog, The Pursuit of Happiness and played the role of Erronius in the stage musical A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

Walburn passed away in 1969.

Walburn sang in a number of stage musicals, originating roles in Three Little Girls, Tell Her the Truth and Park Avenue. He also sang briefly in such films as Thanks a Million and Born to Dance.
