Preshy Marker was an American actress.

Biography[]

Born Esther Stomne Rayna in Chicago,Illinois, she initially intending to become a teacher, before being spotted by renowned bandleader Fred Waring and becoming a featured member of the Ziegfield Follies, as well making a number of television appearances, guesting on The Steve Allen Show and acting in Death Valley Days.

She passed away in 2015.

Singing[]

Marker's first singing role was in the musical revue Hear! Hear! in 1955, but it was two later roles that gained her notice, originating the parts of Katie Brown in Calamity Jane, and the virgin courtesan Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
