Patsy Kensit is an English actress and singer.

Biography[]

Born in Hounslow, London, she studied at Corona Theatre School and Italia Conti Academy, having appeared in an advert for Birds Eye Frozen Peas as a child. Her first film role came in For the Love of Ada and she went on to appear in such films as Absolute Beginners, Lethal Weapon 2 and Twenty-One. She also appeared in television productions of Richard III and Silas Marner whilst working as a singer.

Kensit also appeared in a number of soaps including Emmerdale and Holby City and the reality series' Strictly Come Dancing and Who Do You Think You Are?

Singing[]

Kensit was the lead singer of the band "Eighth Wonder" and wrote the song "Having It All" for them, which was also performed in her film Absolute Beginners. She also performed a section of the song "Youth's the Season" and the solo "A Lovely Lass to a Friar Came" in A Chorus of Disapproval, as well as the duet "Now That I've Found the One" in the pantomime Aladdin, where she played the Princess.
