Neil Morrissey is an English actor and comedian.

Biography[]

Born in Stafford, he studied at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and appeared in screen and stage roles, making a small appearance in The Bounty. He later gained popularity in the series Boon and became famous for his role as Tony Smart in Men Behaving Badly.

Morrissey also became popular for providing the voice of the title character in Bob the Builder. He had a varied career; as the host of The Friday Night Project and Petrolheads, appearing in such stage shows as Rain Man and television dramas including Grantchester and Unforgotten.

Singing[]

Morrissey sang in a number of television programmes and several stage shows, beginning with several brief numbers in Men Behaving Badly including a karaoke night where he sang "Ever Fallen in Love" and "Jive Talkin'" amongst others, before performing the chart topping title theme "Can We Fix It?" in Bob the Builder.

Morrissey also starred in two musicals; Guys and Dolls and as Fagin in Oliver!
