Neil Hamilton was an American actor.
Born James Neil Hamilton in Lynn, Massachusetts, he began working as a shirt model before making his film debut in 1918 and catching his big break working with D.W. Griffith on The White Rose. He was soon signed on as a leading man for Paramount Pictures.

He would appear in such films as The Dawn Patrol and When Strangers Marry as well as making television appearances on Maverick and Mister Ed, among others. His most famous later role was playing Commissioner Gordon in Batman.
