Natasha Richardson was an English actress.

Biography[]

Born in Marylebone, England to the Richardson acting dynasty, she made her debut aged four in The Charge of the Light Brigade and studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama before beginning a career in theatre with A Midsummer Night's Dream. She soon followed this with film appearances in Gothic and Patty Hearst.

In 1998, Richardson won the Tony for Best Actress in a Musical and appeared in a critically acclaimed production of Closer the following year. She would make film appearances in projects as varied as Blow Dry, Asylum and Evening.

Richardson passed away in 2009.

Richardson played leading roles in three stage roles; originating the part of Tracy Lord in High Society, playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret and Desiree in a concert production of A Little Night Music.
