Naomi Watts is an English born Australian actress.

Biography[]

Born in Shoreham, Kent, she initially made appearances in Australian advertisements before her film debut in For Love Alone in 1986, which led to her to appearing in television with roles in Brides of Christ and Home and Away. Her breakthrough in films came with Mulholland Drive, and later 31 Grams, which won her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.

Watts would later appear in a number of successful films, including that of Ann Darrow in the remake of King Kong (as well as providing the character's voice for the video game adaptation), The Impossible and Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance). She returned to television with appearances in Twin Peaks and The Loudest Voice.
