Miranda Otto is an Australian actress.
Biography[]
Born in Brisbane, Australia, Otto studied at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts and made her debut in 1986's Emma's War, later making her breakthrough in The Girl Who Came Late. She would appear in a number of films in her native Australia including The Last Days of Chez Nous, The Well and Dead Letter Office.
Otto would make her breakthrough roles in Hollywood blockbusters including What Lies Beneath, and most notably as Eowyn in The Lord of the Rings, as well as appearing as Mary Ann Ferrier in 2005's War of the Worlds. She also acheived stage success in the thriller Boy Gets Girl and played the role of Zelda Spellman in the television series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Otto sang in a number of films, beginning with a performance of "Union City Blue" in True Love and Chaos and "Dead Red Roses" in Doing Time for Patsy Cline. She also performed the lament "Theodred's Funeral" in the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
