Martha Plimpton is an American actress.
Biography[]
Born in New York City into the Carradine acting family, she was initially a model before her film debut in 1981 and later breakout in The Goonies.. This was followed by a number of film appearances including in the Academy Award nominated Running on Empty and Parenthood as well as the German film Zwei Fraun.
Plimpton had several stage roles, in Hedda Gabler, The Coast of Utopia and A Midsummer Night's Dream. She also provided a voice for the online computer game Minecraft. She received an Emmy Award nomination for her role in Raising Hope on television and a second for The Good Wife.
