Mark Ryan is an English actor.
Biography[]
Born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, he was a member of the British Army's Intelligence Corps. before beginning his acting career onstage, later moving into films with Who Dares Wins and television with his role as Nasir in Robin of Sherwood.
Ryan had a varied career, serving a swordsmaster on First Knight and King Arthur, guesting in television series including Frasier and General Hospital and providing the voices of Bumblebee, Jetfire and Lockdown in the Transformers franchise.
Singing[]
Ryan appeared in a number of stage musicals, originating the role of Agustín Magaldi in Evita and playing the leading roles in Gantry and Guys and Dolls.
Ryan also appeared as Juan on the original concept album of Matador and played Figaro of The Marriage of Figaro and Leporello of Don Giovanni in 1993.
