Mark Benton is an English actor.
Biography[]
Born in Guisborough, North Riding of Yorkshire, he worked with the Middlesbrough Youth Theatre and had recurring roles in Early Doors, Northern Lights and Barbara. He also had guest appearances on Randall & Hokirk (Deceased),Doctor Who and I'm With Stupid.
As well as his television roles, Benton appeared in such films as The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Career Girls and Three and Out.
Singing[]
Though he sang briefly on Early Doors, Benton had substantial singing roles in the stage musicals Hairspray and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels where he played Edna Turnblad and Inspector Andre respectively.
