Liv Tyler is an American actress.

Biography[]

Born Liv Rundgren in New York to Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler, she began working as a child model before gaining notice for appearing in her father's music videos. She made her film debut in 1994 and received her breakthrough two years later in Stealing Beauty.

Tyler would go on to make appearances in blockbusters such as Armageddon and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as The Incredible Hulk, where she was well reviewed in her part as Dr Betty Ross. She later moved on to television projects such as a recurring role in The Leftovers, and has also been an active player in world charity, being appointed a United States Goodwill Ambassador in 2003.

Tyler sang in two films, in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (performing the number "The Houses of Healing") and in Jersey Girl where her character is at one point a chorus member in a production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
