Kristin Scott Thomas is an English actress.

Biography[]

Born in Redruth, Cornwall, she trained at both the Central School of Speech and Drama and the ENSATT in Paris, before making her film debut in 1986. She made her most popular and successful film appearances in Four Weddings and a Funeral and The English Patient soon after.

Scott Thomas also had an incredibly successful career on stage, gaining three Olivier nominations and one win (for The Seagull) whilst continuing to appear in films such as Nowhere Boy and Easy Virtue, and was appointed a Dame in 2015.

Scott Thomas has only sang briefly on film, once in The English Patient, in which she briefly sings "The Darktown Strutters' Ball", and I've Loved You So Long, where she twice sings classic French songs with other characters.
