Kristen Vigard is an American actress and singer.
Biography[]
Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, she marked her stage debut with the LaMama Experimental Theatre Club, not long before becoming the titular character in Annie, though she was demoted to understudy after a week.She appeared in the 1978 television film Home to Stay and made her motion picture debut in The Black Stallion the following year. Vigard continued to appear in television series such as Fame, One Life to Live and The Equalizer.
Singing[]
Vigard appeared in a number of musicals, including being the original Annie in Annie, as well as playing Crissy in Hair and Katrine in I Remember Mama. She provided the vocals for the lead character in Grace of My Heart.
Vigard also released an eponymous album and a second, Gods, Loves and Angels and was a back-up singer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers for many years. She was the lead singer of the band New White Trash.
