John Oliver is an English-American actor and comedian.
Biography[]
Born in Erdington, Birmingham, Oliver started his career as a sketch show performer, performing in the Cambridge Footlights and at the Edinburgh Fringe before making his solo debut in 2002. He also appeared as a panellist on Mock the Week and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart before hosting his own show John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show.
Oliver made his screen debut as a child performer in Bleak House and also appeared in People Like Us and Green Wing, but was best known for his voice performances, including Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, The Simpsons and Bob's Burgers. He played Vanity Smurf in two of The Smurfs movies and voiced Zazu in The Lion King.
