John Cazale was an American actor.

Born in Revere, Massachusetts, Cazale made his acting debut in The Indian Wants The Bronx, for which he gained an Obie Award. He also appeared in such stage productions as Line, J.B. and Measure for Measure, where he played Angelo.

Cazale only had a brief film career, but it was a successful one, with all of his films receiving Academy Award nominations for Best Picture. He played the friendly, weak-willed Fredo Corleone in The Godfather series, Stan in The Conversation and Sal in Dog Day Afternoon.

Cazale passed away in 1978 during the making of The Deer Hunter.

Cazale sang along to several songs in The Deer Hunter, including "Can't Take My Eyes Off You."
