Jenna Coleman (credited prior to 2013 as Jenna-Louise Coleman) is an English actress.
Biography[]
Born in Blackpool, Lancashire, she was a member of the theatre company In Yer Face and made her screen debut as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale, for which she received critical nominations. She also appeared in such series as Waterloo Road and Titanic before appearing as Clara Oswald, the Doctor's companion in Doctor Who, leaving this role to play the young Queen Victoria in Victoria, which began in 2016.
Coleman also appeared in such films as Captain America and Me Before You and provided the voice of Princess Melia Antiqua in Xenoblade Chronicles.
Singing[]
Coleman briefly sang "Hungry Like the Wolf" in the Doctor Who episode "Cold War" while as Queen Victoria in Victoria she performed a German song with her onscreen husband and joined in performing the classic hymn "The Holly and the Ivy."
