Jane Adams is an American actress.
Biography[]
Born in Washington D.C., she studied drama at the Juilliard School and though she made her screen debut in 1985, made many of her initial successes onstage, including in the play I Hate Hamlet and An Inspector Calls, which earned her both a Drama Desk and Tony Award. She appeared in several television roles, notably as Dr. Mel Karnofsky in Frasier and Tanya Skagle in Hung.
Adams appeared in a number of varied films in her career, including Father of the Bride, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. She wrote and starred in the award-winning feature All the Light in the Sky.
