Jack Nicholson is an American actor.

Biography

Born in New Jersey, Nicholson made his start in low-budget Roger Corman productions, before gaining popularity as both a performer (frequently in "angry young man" roles such as McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest).

He subsequently became one of the only actors to be nominated for an Academy Award in every decade from the 1960s to the 2000s (the other being Michael Caine). He has appeared in a massive variety of films notably Chinatown, The Shining and Tim Burton's Batman as The Joker.

Not typically known for his singing roles, Nicholson has still made two singing appearances in films, namely as "The Specialist" in The Who's Tommy, and performing "La Vie En Rose" in Something's Gotta Give.
