Gerald James was a Welsh actor.

Biography[]

Born in Brecon, Powys, he worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company in such plays as Anthony and Cleopatra and As You Like It, as well as other major works such as Saint Joan, H and Life Class.

Onscreen James portrayed Professor Frazier in The Man With the Golden Gun, as well as starring in television productions including A Traveller in Time, Sally Ann and The Invisible Man. He provided the voices of Jacob in Testament: The Bible in Animation and Malvolio in Shakespeare: The Animated Tales.

James passed away in 2006.

Singing[]

As well as playing the role of Tracy Tupman in Pickwick and William Blake in Tyger, James sang the standards "Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit Bag" and "Smile, Smile, Smile" in the television series Sapphire & Steel.
