Gabriel Byrne is an Irish actor.

Biography[]

Born in Walkinstown, Dublin, he had a number of careers before gaining recognition in the television series The Riordans and later the epic Excalibur, where he played Uther Pendragon, and the political thriller Defence of the Realm. He would go on to have roles in films such as Miller's Crossing, The Usual Suspects and End of Days.

Byrne also appeared on television, in the series Weapons of Mass Destruction and In Treatment, for which he won a Golden Globe. He received Tony Award nominations for his performances in A Moon for the Misbegotten and Long Day's Journey into Night.

Singing[]

As well as briefly singing "My Way" in Mad Dog Time, Byrne also appeared in a special production of Camelot, playing the role of King Arthur.
