Francesca Annis is an English actress.
Biography[]
Born in Kensington, London, she trained as a ballet dancer, and had an early major film role in Cleopatra, and also appeared in such films as Macbeth, ‘’Krull’’ and The Libertine. On television, she had roles in Edward the Seventh and its follow-up Lillie, Madame Bovary and Home Fires.
Annis was a prominent theatre actress, having Shakespearian roles in The Comedy of Errors and Hamlet as well as Epitaph for George Dillon and Time and the Conways amongst others.

Annis originated the role of Melissa in Passion Flower Hotel and Luciana in The Comedy of Errors as well as appearing as Joanna in the 2011 production of Company in London.
