François Berléand is a French actor.
Biography[]
Born in Paris, France, he made his stage debut in the play Sur une plage de l'Ouest and frequently worked with director Daniel Benoin before beginning his screen career on television. Eventually he won the César Award for his role in My Small Business and appeared in such major productions as My Idol and Les Choristes, as well as playing the leading role in Le Bureau, the French version of The Office.
Berléand also appeared in a number of English-language films, including portraying Inspector Tarconi in ' 'The Transporter series (and subsequent television show) as well as writing a book entitled Le fils de l'homme invisible.
