Jon Lovitz is an American actor and comedian.

Biography[]

Born in Tarzana, California, Lovitz rose to fame after serving as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1985. This lead to him having film roles in productions, such as Big, Rat Race, and High School High, as well as television series including Foley Square and Mr. Box Office.

Lovitz also became a popular voice actor, portraying Radio in The Brave Little Toaster and Calico in Cats and Dogs amongst many other films, playing the lead role of Jay Prescott Sherman in The Critic and playing a number of recurring roles on The Simpsons. In 2003 he began a stand-up comedy career and appeared on Broadway in The Dinner Party in 2001.

Singing[]

Lovitz sang a number of times on television, usually in comic appearances, such as singing "Buttdancin' Baby" amongst others on Saturday Night Live and on a number of occasions during his voice roles on The Simpsons and The Critic.

Lovitz also performed "Ladies' Night" in The Wedding Singer and performed the duet "Well, Did You Evah?" on the album Swing When You're Winning.
