John Finnemore is a comedy writer and performer.

Biography[]

Born in Reading, England, Finnemore was a member of the Cambridge Footlights and became known as a sketch writer, contributing pieces to such well known series as Dead Ringers and That Mitchell and Webb Look.

He is best known for his own two shows, John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme and Cabin Pressure and has won more Comedy.co.uk awards than any other writer or performer.

Singing[]

Finnemore is perhaps best known for writing the smash hit radio series Cabin Pressure, which also provided his sole singing part as Arthur Shappey, the dim but loveable steward. Arthur sings (though other characters might quibble whether it could indeed be called singing) in more episodes than any other character.

Finnemore also sang out of character during a guest appearance on I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue.
