Edward Hermann was an American actor.

Biography[]

Born in Washington D.C., Herrmann studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art before moving into theatre with such shows as Moonchildren and Mrs. Warren's Profession for which he won a Tony Award. However it was for his performance as President Franklin D. Roosevelt in a number of television programmes and the film Annie that he gained notice, as well as the head vampire Max in The Lost Boys.

As well as his numerous screen roles, Herrmann also provided voices on a number of programmes and audio dramas, including The Maltese Falcon and Saint Joan.

He passed away in 2014.

Singing[]

Herrmann gave his largest singing performance as President Roosevelt in Annie. He also briefly performed "I've Been Working on the Railroad" in Intolerable Cruelty and a number of songs (including "You're the Top") in Gilmore Girls.
