Eddie Redmayne is an English actor.


Making his stage debut in a production of Twelfth Night at Shakespeare's Globe, Redmayne's stage career apexed with a Best Supporting Actor Olivier Award for his appearance in Red.

Making small appearances in films such as The Good Shepherd, Redmayne rose to prominence in the television series Birdsong, he eventually broke into major motion pictures, including the leading role in the Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory of Everything.


Redmayne's only singing role was also his springboard into motion picture, playing the student revolutionary Marius Pontmercy in the film adaptation of Les Misérables.
