Dustin Hoffman is an American actor.
Biography[]
Born in Los Angeles, California, Hoffman studied at the Actors Studio and began to appear onstage and in television before making his film debut in 1967. He also directed plays including Two for the Seesaw and The Time of Your Life before his Academy Award nominated big break as Benjamin Braddock in The Graduate.
Hoffman then went on to appear in such hits as Midnight Cowboy, Little Big Man and All the President's Men as well as returning to the stage as Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman. Hoffman became one of the most Academy Award nominated actors in film histories with turns in Tootsie and Rain Man among others, but also appeared in lighter ventures such as Meet the Fockers and a voice role as Master Shifu in the Kung Fu Panda series.

Hoffman has sung briefly on screen a number of times, beginning with Who Is Harry Kellerman and Why Is He Saying Those Horrible Things About Me? in which he performed such numbers as "The Sweet Forever Song" and later in Ishtar where he played failed lounge singer Chuck Clarke.
He also spoke-sang "Home on the Range" during a guest appearance on The Simpsons, and performed "Shoot the Breeze" in Last Chance Harvey.
