Dominic West is an English actor.
Biography[]
Born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and made his first major screen role in Richard III as Henry, Duke of Richmond before playing Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and having cameo roles in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and Chicago, in which he plays the murdered Fred Casely.
West appeared in several television dramas for which he received plaudits and awards, including The Wire, The Hour and The Affair. He had further film appearances in 300 and Johnny English Reborn as well as providing voices in Jackboots on Whitehall and Finding Dory. On stage, he appeared in productions of (amongst others) Life is a Dream, Othello and Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
