Debbie Reynolds was an American singer and actress.

Biography[]

Born Mary Frances Reynolds in El Paso Texas. The family moved to Burbank, California in 1939. When she turned 16 she participated in the Miss Burbank contest. After she won she recieved a contract at Warner Brothers. Two years later she was left due to the fact Warner Brothers stopped making musicals. In 1952 she made one of her most famous films Singin‘ in the Rain.

As well as making films Reynolds had a successful career in stage appearing in Irene in 1973, and doing concerts in places such as Los Angles, Las Vegas, and London.

For a brief period Reynolds has a television show called The Debbie Reynolds Show (1969-1970).

During her marriage to Eddie Fisher in 1955 she had two children Carrie and Todd. Their marriage ended in 1959 after Fisher left her for Elizabeth Taylor.

Reynolds passed away in 2016.
