David Henry is an English actor.
Biography[]
Henry made his film debut in The Killing Fields, beginning his career as a popular character actor in film, stage and television roles. He notably originated the role of Charles Fox in Alan Bennett's The Madness of George III, and appeared in productions as varied as Waking the Dead to Ali G Indahouse.
Singing[]
Henry appeared in a handful of stage musicals, beginning with Tyger as Geoffrey Chaucer and as Alfred Doolittle in a touring production of My Fair Lady, before taking over as Henry Higgins.
He later appeared in the original London production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as the Lord Scrumptious, before going on tour as Baron Bomburst. In 2010 he played both Admiral Boom and the Bank Chairman in the Australian production of Mary Poppins.
