Darleen Carr is an American actress and singer.
Biography[]
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Carr made a number of appearances in motion pictures such as Death of a Gunfighter and The Beguiled, as well as providing the voice of "The Girl" in The Jungle Book.
Carr appeared more prominently on television, playing the title character in Miss Winslow & Son and receiving a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Once an Eagle. She also guest-starred on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, The Waltons and played a long running role in The Smith Family.
Singing[]
Carr released a number of solo albums, namely Anybody's Girl and Through the Looking Glass, as well as singing the haunting "My Own Home" in The Jungle Book.
Carr also sang twice on television, during a guest appearance on Dean Martin Presents the Golddiggers, and in her role on The Virginians, in which she sang "Hush, Little Baby."
