Daniel Craig is an English actor.

Biography[]

Born in Chester, England, Craig studied at the National Youth Theatre as well as the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Making an early start on television in the drama Our Friends in the North, he was soon elevated to supporting roles in films such as Road to Perdition and Layer Cake.

In 2006, Craig achieved his greatest success, becoming the latest actor to play secret agent James Bond. Despite initial criticisms, his darker and edgier approach gain critical and commercial success, his third Bond, Skyfall, becoming the highest grossing in the series.

Craig has only made one singing appearances, as Perry Smith, one of the subjects of Truman Capote's novel In Cold Blood, he sings a sentimental ballad entitled "Goldmine in the Sky".
