Craig Revel Horwood is an Australian born English choreographer, director and occasional actor.
Biography[]
Born in Ballarat, Victoria, he made early appearances as a drag queen and dancer before becoming best known as both as a choreographer and director, including Olivier Award winning shows Spend, Spend, Spend and My One and Only. He also directed the touring production of Chess in 2012 and several regional productions including Pal Joey, Guys and Dolls and South Pacific.
Revel Horwood also became widely known for his scathing put-downs as one of the judges on Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing with the Stars and performed as the Evil Queen in the pantomime Snow White and the 7 Dwarves.
Singing[]
Though best known as a choreographer and director, Revel Horwood has performed on stage on a number of occasions; having minor dancing and ensemble roles in La Cage Aux Folles, Miss Saigon and Crazy for You as well as playing the major role of Munkustrap in Cats and returning to his drag performer roots to play Miss Hannigan in Annie.
He also participated in the Children in Need charity single Wake Me Up.
