Clint Eastwood is an American actor, director and musician.
Biography[]
Born Clinton Eastwood Jr., he worked in a variety of different jobs before his film debut in 1955's Revenge of the Creature. He would become a television star due to his role as Rowdy Yates in Rawhide, which led to his iconic portrayal of The Man With No Name in Sergio Leone's Italian "Dollars Trilogy." Upon his return to America, he played a number of Western anti-heroes before his first appearance as the maverick cop lead in Dirty Harry.
Whilst he continued to make appearances in films, the latter half of Eastwood's career mostly focused on directing, with such Academy Award winning successes as Unforgiven, Gran Torino (both of which he starred in) and the acclaimed Flags of Our Fathers.
Singing[]
Though most of his musical career involved playing and composing, Eastwood also sang on several occasions, releasing the solo album Cowboy Favorites featuring a number of classic Wild West numbers such as "Don't Fence Me In." He later appeared in the cowboy musical Paint Your Wagon, singing "I Still See Elisa" amongst others.
Eastwood mostly sang only sections of songs after this, though he also performed a number in Honkytonk Man, and both composed and performed the title song in Gran Torino.
