Claudia Cardinale is a Tunisian born Italian actress.
Biography[]
Born in La Goulette in Tunis, she appeared in short film for the Berlin Film Festival, Anneaux d'or, which saw her being spotted and sent to the Experimental Cinematography Centre. She went on to appear in Italian films including Big Deal on Madonna Street, Ill bell'Antonio and most notably the critically acclaimed The Leopard.
Cardinale would move into English language films with roles in Time of Indifference, Once Upon a Time in the West and The Pink Panther. Her continued success included a variation of films such as Fitzcarraldo, Corleone and the award-winning television film A Man in Love.
