Christopher Lloyd is an American actor.

Biography[]

Born in Stamford, Connecticut, Lloyd apprenticed at a variety of summer theatres before making his professional debut in And They Put Handcuffs on the Flowers in New York. Though he had some success on stage, including playing Malvolio in Twelfth Night, he would become best known for screen roles, gaining notice by playing Reverend Jim Ignatowski in Taxi.

In the 1980s, Lloyd would make his most memorable film appearances, playing Emmett "Doc" Brown in Back to the Future, Fester Addams in The Addams Family series and the sinister Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. He would go on to become a voice actor, notably playing the villainous Rasputin in Anastasia.

Singing[]

Lloyd sang several times both on stage and screen, beginning on Broadway in the chorus of Red, White and Maddox and playing Bill Cracker in the 1977 Broadway production of Happy End.

On screen he sang a few sections of songs on Taxi, including "Lullaby of Broadway", and duetted in The Addams Family (with Raúl Juliá) and The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure (with Jaime Pressly).
