Christian Bale is a Welsh-born English actor.
Biography[]
Born in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Bale began his acting career in advertisements before making his stage debut in The Nerd and his film debut in 1986, making a notable appearance as a child actor in Empire of the Sun. He made appearances in Little Women, Pocahontas and Velvet Goldmine before his first acclaimed role as an adult in American Psycho.
Bale became well known as a blockbuster star with his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in The Dark Knight Trilogy as well as Reign of Fire, The Prestige and Public Enemies. He also became acclaimed for his dedication to roles in films such as The Machinist and The Fighter.

Bale made his sole musical appearance as Jack Kelly in Newsies, which included singing the solo "Santa Fe."
