Catherine O'Hara is a Canadian actress.
Biography[]
Born in Toronto, Ontario, O'Hara began in comedy in the improvisational comedy group The Second City and when on to appear on SCTV and make guest appearances in such shows as Tales fron the Crypt, The Larry Sanders Show and Six Feet Under.
O'Hara also appeared in a number of films, often working with Tim Burton and Christopher Guest (including the mockumentaries Best in Show and A Mighty Wind) and also as Kate McCallister in the Home Alone series.
Singing[]
O'Hara first sang as both Sally and Shock in The Nightmare Before Christmas. After this, she would sing in many of her mockumentary roles, including Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show and A Mighty Wind (as part of the fictional folk duo Mitch and Mickey.)
